The Lenka Vagnerova & Company Dance Theatre was founded in 2012 in Prague by internationally acclaimed choreographer and director Lenka Vagnerová. Performances of Lenka Vagnerová combine dance, physical theatre, puppetry and dramatic theatre. Existential questions, urgency of topics of man’s relationship to other beings, to environment, play with reality and fantasy, storytelling through symbols are characteristic for the creations of LV&C. Lenka puts emphasis on the specific qualities of movement, theatrical situations, she uses the power of group dynamics; she is looking for physical capabilities and physical boundaries of man’s own body. Passion, physicality, risk, conflict, harmony or intuition has always been part of Lenka`s original dance language. The company regularly collaborates with artists from different disciplines: dancers, actors, musicians, visual artists; regularly runs workshops and develops educational system for professionals and students. Lenka`s performances have received many prestigious awards and nominations during its existence on domestic and international scenes among the others: Herald Angel Award / Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014, Total Theatre Award Nomination / Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014, The Best Dance Performance / Singapore Fringe Festival 2016, Etc.
